Sri Lanka Insurance invites applications for the following positions.

Tamil Trainer – Executive Grade (General Insurance)

Duties and Responsibilities:

– Training and developing advisors and staff in general insurance business.
– Coordinate with training coordinator to develop a database on Tamil trainings to generate performance evaluation reports on trainer and trainees to submit periodically to the management.
– Develop soft skills and management training modules in Tamil medium covering wider areas of leadership, motivation, selling skills, career counseling personal grooming etc.
– Provide guidance and leadership for field staff, ensuring the delivery of training program to enable them to obtain the IBSL requirements.
– Design, prepare, deliver and evaluate training and development session, which satisfy clearly defined training needs, and include appropriate training methods
– Identify the knowledge gap within the staff and encourage individual learning through clear communication of learning points, the use of appropriate facilitation style and effective use of learning aids.
– Maintain standards of professional practice and good services
– Enhance the competency of sales force to recruit new staff
– Prepare and deliver information to diverse audiences ensuring that you use an appropriate communication style, operate equipment correctly and represent the values of the Service.
– Must be able to travel anywhere when required.

Qualifications / Pre – requisites for the position are,

– Should posses a degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university/Institute.
– Minimum 5 years experience in similar capacity
– Age below 32
– Relevant professional qualifications in Insurance /Training and fully or partly qualified in SLIM/ CIM/ ICBT/IPM/SLIDA/AII/ACH qualifications would be a distinct advantage – Candidate should have ability to build very good inter – relationship with Regional Managers / Regional Training Coordinators regarding the training matters
– A self – driven leader & team player with excellent communication skills, which includes Sinhala/ Tamil & English and pleasing personality
– Ability to design suitable knowledge training session for the staff such as, on the job training lectures, workshops, field visit ect.
– Hands on experience in General Insurance Underwriting and Claims would be an added advantage
– Ensure that show a duty of care and take appropriate action to comply with Health and Safety requirements at all times.
