This is an exciting opportunity for a store manager to work with a high profile, luxury designer store located at Reid Avenue, Colombo 07. The store will offer a carefully hand picked selection of the best fashion-forward premium designer wear and accessories. The brand specialises in both eveningwear and smart casual clothing of both local and international designers.

Position of Shop Manager

Primary Purpose: you will assume responsibility for the management of the store’s commercial performance, development of the team and management of the stock to achieve targets and objectives as agreed.

Responsibilities:

Management of the store’s commercial performance:

• The achievement of commercial objectives and sales targets.
• Set and deliver the highest customer service standards to exceed customer expectations
• Provide feedback on clientele and product performances to the management and implement action plans to increase profitability
• Develop relationships with new/existing customers and loyal clientele

Daily management of the operations:

• Assume all management responsibilities for the store; stock management, supplier management, petty cash, administration, key holding, till processes and procedures etc.
• Maintain the store at the highest housekeeping and quality level as required by the store in terms of merchandising, health and safety, cleaning and appearance

Management of the Store Team:

• Lead and develop the team, training and organizing their daily work in the store and ensuring the quality of sales and excellent customer service standards
• Get involved as an ambassador of the store at events/promotions/parties in order to represent the store image and products

Profile of the Ideal candidate will possess:

• Retail experience, in the luxury business
• Strong knowledge of the luxury industry with fashion sensitivity
• Technical mastering of the different aspects of sales with outstanding standards of customer service, initiative and commercial acumen.
• Proven ability to motivate and manage a team, with strong organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and prioritise, good reporting and analytical skills with computer literacy.
• Personal attributes of honesty, flexibility, autonomy, dynamic, open-minded, self-motivated and ability to read the customer in order to serve according to each individual’s expectations.
• Excellent communication and networking skills.
