Job Description for Outlook/Lync Admin
The Outlook/Lync Admin is responsible for providing support while handling all incoming calls, trouble tickets and emails , as well as resolving, troubleshooting, and/or following up on all issues with the correct technical solution for the customer. Technicians are required to document their actions (using internal tools), providing detailed notes on the calls and the issues presented, follow policies and procedures to ensure quick resolution for the customer, research answers to customer issues and escalate calls and tickets to other teams for their assistance, as required.
In addition, this position is also required to perform all other duties as required, to ensure timely and adequate problem resolution.
This role will have a higher visibility into the CUSTOMER, and as such will have use of advance tools to troubleshoot and diagnose customer-impacting issues. Due to the access required for this position and increased customer exposure time excellent soft skills are required and technical skills are required.
Qualification & Experience:
– B.Tech/B.E/MCA/Diploma
– ITIL & Microsoft certification preferred.
– 2 to 3 years of experience in Windows Administration.
– Multi Administration knowledge in combination of (Windows + Outlook & Lync)
– Experience on using ticketing tools.
– Experience in ITIL processes (Incident/Change Management).
– Exposure to telephone support & to comprehend the client’s requirement.
– Express clearly and confidently while communicating over phone and on email to the client
Responsibilities: (all below but not limited to)
– Excellent knowledge on TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP and Active Directory
– Requires working in evening, weekend and/or holiday shifts.
– Experience in ITIL processes (Incident/Change Management).
– Awareness of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
– Handle User Access issues.
– Exposure to telephone support & to comprehend the client’s requirement.
– Express clearly and confidently while communicating over phone and on email to the client
