Manager Golf Promotion and Administration
The Sri Lanka Golf Union (SLGU) is the sole controlling body for golf in Sri Lanka recognized by the Ministry of Sports Sri Lanka and the R&A which is the world controlling body for golf.
The SLGU is looking for a person to help implement its Strategic Plans to achieve its objectives of assisting to develop world class golfers and world class golf courses in Sri Lanka
Job responsibilities include: Within agreed budgets to develop Golf in Sri Lanka through image building, securing sponsorships, ‘golf’ tourism, working with member clubs to plan programs for Junior’s and National players, development of practice ranges in strategic places and an Academy. Managing the annual golf calendar and events related to it. You will report to the President and Council of the Golf Union.
Job requirements: Proven administrative and public relations skills, you must be able to read and understand accounts, a record of integrity and honesty a network of contacts, working knowledge of information technology with excellent communication skills. The ability to play golf and know the game is mandatory.
Terms and Period of Contract: It is envisaged that the chosen candidate will be on a retainer and incentives based on Income generation and overall results. Other details will be agreed prior to signing a fixed term contract.
