Responsibilities:
– Leading and managing a team of design engineers to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
– Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management and manufacturing, to translate customer requirements into feasible design solutions.
– Providing technical guidance and mentorship to design engineers while fostering their professional growth and development.
– Conducting design reviews to evaluate and improve designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
– Overseeing the creation and maintenance of engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
– Staying current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in design engineering.
Requirements
– Hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical/mechatronics engineering or a related field.
– Possess more than seven years of experience in design engineering and product development.
– Demonstrate expertise in electrical switches and sockets development. (an added advantage)
– Be experienced in managing/leading teams.
– Possess experience in injection moulding and tool designing. (added advantages)
– Be proficient in CAD software (Solid Works) for designing and modelling engineered products.
– Demonstrate familiarity with simulation tools for analysing designs, system behaviour, and performance.
– Have in-depth knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems, including injection moulding, tool development, and analytical instrumentation.
– Possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic industrial environment while adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
– Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information, provide clear instructions, and facilitate effective teamwork.
– Have proven project management and leadership skills.
– Approximate salaries should be around Rs.300,000/-350,000/- (Negotiable)
