Systems Engineer
We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team to help build, commission, maintain and troubleshoot our ever expanding IT infrastructure facilities. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest level of availability, performance and security.
Responsibilities:
* Management and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
* Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
* Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
* Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement possible fixes
* Maintain security, backup and redundancy strategies
* Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
* Liaise with hardware vendors and other IT suppliers and involve in procurement process
Expectations
▪ Degree/Equivalent in information Technology from a recognize institution
▪ Cisco CCNA and Microsoft/UNIX Certification in System Administration is an added advantage
▪ Minimum 4 years of hands on experience
Previous work experience in the following technologies will be an added advantage
▪ VMware, Microsoft Azure, Server 0/5, Windows client 0/5, Active Directory, Exchange Server, 11S and MS-SQL, Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, MySQL, Postgresql,Java/PHP/.net application deployment and troubleshooting UNIX alike operating systems
