Engineer Application Support
Experience and Qualifications:
• A degree/diploma in information technology or equivalent
• 6+ months of industry experience working as a support engineer for software applications
• Converse with Internet technologies and web applications
• Skilled in JEE technologies and knows how to troubleshoot in JBoss Server
• Understanding of RDBMS concepts and experienced in using SQL for retrieving and modifying data
• Prior experience in communication with foreign clients would be an added advantage
Skills and Personal Characteristics:
• Ability to work during client’s daytime usually from 11a.m. to 8p.m. Sri Lanka time as part of a team or individually under minimal supervision
• Ability to understand and grasp support requests and customer problems quickly
• Ability to quickly diagnose system issues and find the root cause
• Possess good communication skills.
• Good in spoken and written English and comfortable in using MS Office tools for documentation and communication.
The work practices followed at Mazarin are in line with Agile Software Development, and you would possess good communication skills and work closely with our clients.
Experience in working with people from different countries and an inbuilt sense of cultural empathy would be a definite advantage.
