PARCIC is a Japanese Non Governmental Organization dedicated to the elevation of living standards of marginalized communities in Sri Lanka. Currently we run a sari-recycling project that creates livelihood by up-cycling saris into women’s clothing and home-ware products that have a growing market in Sri Lanka and overseas. In order to support our expanding project activities, we are recruiting staff for our office in Colombo. Employees will be expected to travel occasionally to project locations in the Northern Province.
Job Description:
* Maintain rapport with current clients and stakeholders
* Ensure smooth operations in Colombo Office
* Expand project visibility, marketing and organizing promotional events
* Handle sales events
* Reach out to potential clients, organizations and schools
* Support sari donations
* Progress updates among stakeholders
* Other administrative tasks
Required Skills:
* Fluent in writing and speaking in English and Sinhala
* Marketing skills
* Presentation skills
* Computer skills (Microsoft word, excel, power point, email, chrome)
* Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
Working Conditions:
* One year contract (Contract will be extended till 31st March 2018 based on the annual evaluation and agreement)
* Working hours Monday-Friday (8 hours/day)
* Occasionally on Saturday and Sunday (compensatory leaves will be provided)
* Working station in Colombo, sometimes includes business trips (with overstay) to other districts including Northern Province
Monthly salary: Maximum SLR.45,000/= (plus EPF/ETF) depending on past career & experience.
