Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Write black box and GUI test cases, designing tests to mitigate risks, executing test cases , Develop test plans and detailed test cases for functional, integration and GUI testing
• Follow the software development life cycle, quality assurance processes and development of test strategy.
• Automate test frameworks for products under development. Analyze test results and help identify root causes for failures
• Perform UI, Security, Load, Performance, and Stress tests
• Familiarity with a software development process such as SCRUM would be an added advantage
• Lead, train and mentor a team of Quality Assurance Engineers
Required Skills and Experience:
• A degree in Computer Science or Diploma in Information Technology related field from a recognized university
• Minimum of 4+ years experience in Software Quality Assurance including functional, regression, UI, and performance testing
• Quality Assurance certification is preferable
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues in the application and its environment
• Good communication skills
• Experience in Test Automation — Selenium (WebDriver), TestNG , or any other Open Source Tools
• Working knowledge in installation and setup of Operating Systems such as Windows, Linux and software IDEs.
• Experience with Embedded systems is an advantage.
• Experience in testing Java based applications and Embedded Systems.
• Good knowledge in using SVN and performing builds for release.
• Strong release management knowledge
• Ability to take responsibility for quality and on time delivery in all assigned work
