A community-based research project on high blood pressure coordinated by the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya, requires motivated research coordinators with the qualifications and expertise listed below.
The project is funded by the Wellcome Trust / Medical Research Council (MRC), UK, and the period of employment for selected candidates will be up to two years.
The selected candidates will be provided with the necessary training related to the project and are expected to work in the community setting. They will have to work closely with community health service providers and medical professionals to collect data and coordinate the project.
Educational & other requirements:
❑ Bachelor’ s degree preferably in health promotion, bio science, or related area
❑ Good organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills are essential
❑ Must demonstrate excellent communication skills
❑ Ability to effectively communicate with physicians, nurses, patients and families is necessary.
❑ Work in the Puttalam district Candidates are expected to reside in the research area during their tenure.
