The vacancy exists in the Beverage Packing division; The Beverage Packing segment of the Company, which possesses state of the art manufacturing facilities, currently caters to a sophisticated market internationally.
Applications are invited from suitable qualified persons to fill the following Vacancy:
Microbiologist
The selected candidate will be responsible to:
■ Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of laboratory staff, develop work performance standards, provide technical expertise as needed or requested.
■ Plan and conduct microbiological testing in accordance with company’s HACCP plan.
■ Implement laboratory policies and procedures, develop and maintain appropriate control and quality assurance procedures, ensure compliance with current safety requirements, coordinate laboratory activities and to ensure current certification are renewed.
■ Prepare and maintain required documentation of test results, issuing of test reports, records and analyse data.
■ Participate in policy revision, planning and budgeting process.
■ Maintain Laboratory chemicals equipment and other supplies inventory.
■ Maintain an up to date knowledge of advancement in laboratory technology, National regulations, etc.
■ Liaise with external institutes, laboratories in solving product related issues.
The candidate should possess:
■ Masters or Bachelor’s degrees with specialization in microbiology from a recognized university in the field of microbiology, food technology or agriculture.
■ 2-3 years of experience in reputed chemical and /or microbiology laboratory.
■ Knowledge of ISO 17025:2005 laboratory management system is an added advantage.
■ Good command of the English language, both verbal and written
■ IT proficiency ; must be competent in Microsoft office Programmes such as MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
