Senior .NET Developer / Technical Architect

We are looking for a Senior NET Developer / Technical Architect to be the first employee in a new development office we are setting up in Sri Lanka. The successful candidate needs to have 10+ years hands on development experience, and needs to be able to architect and build clean, well architected and tested solutions autonomously. As the first employee in the new office, the successful candidate would also be involved in building the new team – the plan is to employ three developers in this office initially, with a view to further expanding this team in the future.

About Tippstr

Tippstr is a small early stage startup based in Singapore. We are developing a platform that includes multiple iOS and Android apps and web properties. The mobile apps are developed using Xamarin, the web UI is built using AngularJS and the backend is NET The founders all have over 15 years experience of design and software development, and we are now at the point where we are ready to ramp up our development resource and bring our product to market.

Responsibilities:

• We are looking for a talented senior .Net development guru who is keen in crafting solid functional and testable software, within a global agile environment.
• This position will involved both architecting and coding significant new areas of areas of functionality
• The application stack is an ios / android xamarin stack backed by an azure .Net rest api.
• The successful candidate will be required to occasionally travel to Singapore.

The ideal candidate must have:

• a guru knowledge of the .Net framework 4.5+
• a guru knowledge of design patterns such as: MVVM, MVC, Dependency Injection, Observable
• an excellent knowledge of asp.net webapi2 and mvc5
• an excellent knowledge of Entity Framework 6+
• an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Azure stack (SQL, ServiceBus, WebApp, ApiApp, Queues, Storage, Redis, CDN)
• a proven tdd / bdd practitioner
• familiar with testing packages such as cucumber, nunit, specflow
• experience with profiling and performance optimization
• a track record of enterprise information architecture in commercial projects
• track record of api development in commercial projects
• take pride in writing elegant code, keen on applying best practices
• able to work by themselves or as part of a team (good team player essential!)
• Good communication skills in English

Desirable but not essential:

• exposure to xamarin UI development AND/OR exposure to AngularJS web UI development
• be comfortable with agile processes (Scrum)
• be able to contribute to the sdlc, share ideas, innovate
