The Thinnai, an exclusive boutique hotel opening soon in Jaffna is looking for dynamic individuals under the age of 45 who are driven by a passion for the hospitality industry. The selected applicant will be rewarded with a salary package in line with their experience and perks.
Sales Executive – Female
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the hospitality industry with robust relationships in the tourism sector both with domestic as well as online operators. She should have strong written and spoken skills in English and preferably Tamil as well. She should also be presentable and demonstrate a self-motivation to achieve sales. The selected candidate will be posted in Colombo with a requirement to occasionally visit the hotel in Jaffna for meetings.
Maintenance Engineer – Male
The ideal candidate should demonstrate 05 years minimum experience in hands on maintenance of equipment used in the hospitality sector such as split-type air conditioners, water pumps, water and effluent treatment plants etc. He should demonstrate the ability to supervise a small team and be willing to get his hands dirty when needed. He must also demonstrate a methodical approach to maintenance in his past experience with systems he has implemented in scheduled preventive maintenance. The selected candidate will be posted in Jaffna.
Accountant — Male
The applicant should have completed CIMA OR ACCA/ICASL and possess at least four to five years’ experience in the hospitality sector. He should be highly familiar with computerized property management and accounting systems and must demonstrate sound communication and supervisory skills. Furthermore he should demonstrate skills in budgeting, budgetary control and costing. The selected applicant will be posted in Jaffna with a requirement to occasionally report to the management in Colombo and to meet bank representatives. Initially he will be posted in Colombo until the launch of the hotel.
