QA Engineer / Trainee QA Engineer (Colombo)

Elegant Media is an Australian based IT company seeking for a QA Engineer to join our established team in Colombo.
The successful candidates will join with our team in Colombo and work on small to large scale enterprise level applications.
Senior QA Engineer
Minimum Qualifications:
• BSc in Computer science or equivalent
• 8+ years of industry experience
• Extremely high attention to detail, an eye to spot pixel perfect designs
• Experience in manual and automated mobile apps (or software testing)
• Experience in a design oriented agency environment, handling multiple projects at once
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Enthusiasm in latest technology, including mobile apps
• Experience in working in an agile environment
• Ability to lead by example
• Programming skills in at least one of Java, PHP, Objective-C or .NET is a plus
• Experience in testing REST APIs or backend systems is a plus
• Experience in working with databases is a plus
Trainee QA Engineer
Minimum Qualifications:
• BSc in Computer science or equivalent
• High attention to detail, an eye to spot pixel perfect designs
• Familiar with manual and automated mobile apps (or software testing)
• Familiar with a design oriented agency environment, handling multiple projects at once
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Enthusiasm in latest technology, including mobile apps
• Familiar with working in an agile environment
• Programming skills in at least one of Java, PHP, Objective-C or .NET is a plus
• Familiar with testing REST APIs or backend systems is a plus
• Familiar with working with databases is a plus
University final year students are also encourage to apply
Responsibilities are:
• Develop and implement scalable automated testing strategies for mobile apps
• Use tools to increase efficiency of QA process
• Create test plans, manage and execute test cases
• Create clear and concise bug reports with actionable steps to reproduce
• Work closely with project managers and software developers to report defects and verify bug fixe
• Allocate tasks and manage other QA Engineers
• Support product releases
