This is a hand-on managerial position for the motivated human resources professional who wants to join a fast growing startup and breaking into the technology industry. Your primary duties will involve helping grow our technology team of software developers, engineers and designers, and supporting them throughout their careers, assisting the operations manager in designing, planning and implementing human resource programs and policies for staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations, company culture, training, and health and safety. You will be joining a talented, collaborative team at the forefront of exciting new ventures in the technology field. A successful candidate enjoys working with people both inside and outside the company, is a great communicator and company ‘cheerleader’ can think quickly on their feet, enjoys providing excellent customer service, and has a proactive and organized approach.
Your responsibilities will include:
– Screening candidates and resumes
– Coordinating and negotiating terms and contracts
– Helping design, plan and implement various human resource programs and policies
– Help identify and solve employee problems quickly, effectively and with empathy and tact
– Provide input for continually improving our human resources policies and procedures
– Provide excellent internal customer service and turnaround
– Sending out weekly hiring status reports
– Help direct the work of others
Who we’re looking for:
– Minimum 5+ years human resources experience with strong HR concepts, practices and procedures
– Strong organization skills and attention to detail
– Must be highly self-motivated
– Superb written and oral communications skills
Plusses:
– 3 years technical and/or general recruiting experience
– Passion for both business and technology
