Factory Manager (Sri Lanka)

Minimum Qualifications:
B.Sc. (chemistry special) Degree & MBA or similar capacity He should have some background in business management with at least 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with the last 5 years as a Factory Manager in a rubber products manufacturing Company. Factory Manager will work together with a team of Senior Managers comprised of Director -Marketing, Engineers, Human Resources Manager and Accounts pool while directly reports to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all personnel functions for the manufacturing department, including staffing, compensation, termination, transfer and promotions.
• Develop, implement, and supervise manufacturing plans and strategies, including budgets for capital expansion of operations, plan expansion, major expenditure for facilities and equipment.
• Incorporate official sales forecasts into Production Planning.
• Should have a dear understand of a production process and guide subordinates to execute a cost effective program.
• Set purchasing and inventory control procedures, a coordinate material requirements and interplant purchase contracts.
• Plan and monitor plant maintenance to make certain that all equipment is functioning properly
• Should have the knowledge to reduce cost, eliminate wastage and create an efficient work force.
• Should be aware of stock control systems and ensure the smooth functioning of production.
• Should have Good Entrepreneurial Skills, Decision making abilities and Communication skills
• Set purchasing and inventory control procedures, and coordinate material requirements and interplant purchase contractors.
Working Hours
From 8:00 am to 5:00 pm from Monday to Friday and 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday. The job may entail long hours.
Monthly salary may not be less than Rs.200.000/- per month (will be based on knowledge and industry experience of the candidate). Also the candidate will be
entitled to ETF, EPF, and the Medical Insurance.
