Proporta.com, a leading UK based design and manufacture company of brilliant and stylish Smartphone, PDA, Netbook / Laptop, MP3 Player cases and accessories, has an immediate vacancy for a Web/Systems Developer. The prospective candidate should be an extreme team player who can work well with our team based in Colombo 3 and be dedicated to meeting the needs of the business.
The right candidate should possess the following skills:
The right candidate should posses:
– A HND, Degree or equivalent qualifications in IT/ Computer Science.
– Minimum 2 Year industrial experience in web development using PHP and MySQL
Technical knowledge:
– Experience in Magento would be a definite advantage
– Experienced in developing with PHP, Python, MySQL, HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX and in particular experience of Object Oriented Programming.
– Experience of Zend a distinct advantage, with an understanding of the MVC approach.
– Keenness to continue learning and look for better and more elegant ways of finding Re-usable solutions to immediate programming challenges
– Logical and clear thinker with good ability to conceptualise the big picture with a project
– Experience of working on commercial web development projects that reply on user/ owner content management systems, e-commerce, payment gateway integrations, 3rd party API’s etc
– Well organized worker, that likes to work in a logical and ordered way. Can be clear in all aspects from commenting code to recording progress and completion of tasks.
– Ebay and Amazon API knowledge would be of keen use also
