Software Engineer (Entry-level)
lntervest is a software development venture with the businesses in Europe and in-source development centre in Sri Lanka. We specialise in the development of multi-product, multi-language and multi-currency e-Commerce platforms for insurance, travel and financial services industries.
We seek applications from suitable candidates for the above position. This position is full-time and is based at our office in Colombo.
Role:
– Develop robust, efficient and secure software products
– Deliver components to project time lines
– Complete enhancements as on – going development to a range of Java applications
– Requirement analysis, design, coding and testing Java Technologies
– Communicate clearly with the customers to clarify all requirements
– Develop creative, innovative and practical solutions
– Produce high quality, clear and maintainable code
– Be an effective team player in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Knowledge & Skills:
– Required: Fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, databases, software engineering
– Highly Desirable: Java/J2EE and related technologies like EJBs, Servlets, JSPs
– Highly Desirable: HTML, JavaScript and Ajax
– Pluses: Linux/ Unix, JBOSS, Oracle
– Ability and willingness to: learn new things, interact with others
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, IT or equivalent is a must
– We look for fresh graduates, or those who are completing their studies / awaiting graduation
Salary: Negotiable.
