Senior Production Executive (Colombo 14)

The Edna Group of Companies is one of Sri Lanka’s largest diverse conglomerates specializing in key areas such as Chocolates, Engineering, Weighing Solutions, Pharmaceuticals, Refineries, Packaging, Polymers, Printing and Exports.
In order to meet the ambitious growth plans, the Group is looking for dynamic individuals who are result oriented to fill the above vacancy existing in EDNA Engineering (Put) Ltd, one of the subsidiary company producing of Ferrous & Non Ferrous cast products and a range of light engineering machinery and component in its Foundry Division located at Mawanella.
Key Accountabilities:
• Steer overall performance of the casting process and quality
• Be responsible for the routine maintenance, changes to existing foundry tooling and machine shop
• Maintain tooling to optimize production efficiency, ensure dimensional accuracy and minimize scrap and rework
• Generate casting and pattern quotations for potential new projects
• Actively pursue cost reduction opportunities
• Be responsible for capacity and material requirement planning
• Work with existing tooling as well as CAD design work, and being hands-on on the foundry floor
Essential Skills / Experience:
B.Sc Engineering [mechanical/ production /materials] degree or NDT/NDES with 2 years relevant experience or equivalent with 5 years working experience
Proficient with CAD software preferably as AutoCAD/Solid works/ ProE, and MS office applications will be an advantage
