Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual Testing)

One of our prestigious Clients’ who is a leading Multinational IT company based in Colombo is looking for skilled “QA Engineers” to join their team immediately.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyse and clarify requirements with the BA team.
Plan and conduct the process of functional testing.
Identify problem areas, add to the tracking system and track the life cycle of errors.
Discuss fixes with developers and re-test fixed defects.
Participate in the requirement analysis and specifications for the software being developed.
Create, test, and add information to the appropriate testing tool.
Perform testing at all levels and share updates with stakeholders.
Maintain the test documentation.
Work closely with QA Lead to clarify/understand functionality, resolve issues.
Be involved in helping other QA team members with their User Stories and Bugs.
Prepare daily/weekly progress reports for the management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or MCA.
Minimum 3+ years of work experience in Functional and Manual testing, API testing is a must.
Proven work experience in software development.
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Excellent knowledge of “Manual” testing and its aspects.
Hands-on experience with functional testing / black-box testing.
Hands-on experience writing test cases, test scenarios, and test plans as well as test data generation.
Good knowledge of databases.
Effective time-management skills to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
