Accounts Executive – Treasury (Sri Lanka)

Key Responsibilities:
– Check daily balances of all the accounts maintained under the MAS KREEDA cluster (USD & LKR) in order to regularize the overdrawn accounts to avoid OD interest and ensuring smooth operations.
– Ensure that relevant funds are transferred and available in respective bank accounts on time for LKR payments, salaries, PAYE, petty cash and pay orders based on the requirements of each plant/ business division,
– Obtaining weekly cashflow requirements from different teams for the purpose of projecting the weekly cash requirements.
– Maintain schedules for both import/ short term and long term loans and LCs/ guarantees/ avalised bills for each bank whilst, handling obtaining and recovery of all loans and settlement of guarantees.
– Ensure adherence to First Sale For Export program (FSFE )by making sure the customer documentation requests are acted upon in a timely manner and make fund transfers accurately.
– Assistance with month end activities pertaining to treasury department.
– Assistance with internal and external audits.
– Ensure that the environment, safety and health standards of the organization are adhered to whilst actively contributing towards promoting a culture of safety and environmental consciousness within and outside the organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
– A qualification in Finance, preferably CIMA with 1 – 2 years of relevant work experience (Dealing with banks and financial institutions, knowledge on cash management, banking operations, trade finance)
