Zonal Health and Nutrition Coordinator (1 position)
Location: based in the Uva Province
Job Profile:
The Zonal Health and Nutrition Coordinator will provide technical support in the implementation of the health and nutrition components of the projects carried out by Area Development Programmes of World Vision Lanka. This role liaises with the National Office technical specialist to disseminate and ensure technical expertise reaches the field operations. The position will also provide support in coordinating assessments, surveys, project designs, community level health and nutrition services, capacity building, monitoring of progress, dissemination of reports etc.
Also:
– Provide technical support to project implementation
– Continuous Monitoring of project interventions, update the monitoring system and provide feedback to Area Development Programme Offices.
– Collaborate and work with other partners relevant to Health and Nutrition
– Capacity build and hold training/ awareness programmes at field level and coordinate such traininos with external consultants
Education. Knowledge and Experience
– Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Nutrition or related relevant discipline.
– At least 3 years’ experience in community level health and nutrition services or similar capacity.
– Sound understanding of the Humanitarian industry and community development.
– Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
– Ability to travel to the field as required.
– Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
– Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Sinhala
