Vacancy- IT / Network Administrator
As a system / network administrator your daily duties and responsibilities will include the following:
. Providing day—to day Desktop, Server and Network administration, including setting up of users, Pcs, software, devices and servers
. Providing individual assistance to users of IT equipment, including technical support of PCs, peripherals and telecommunication, as well as performing software arid hardware upgrades
. Maintaining and administer the telecommunication system
. Ensuring software and systems are current, licensed and registered
. Management of company’s fixed asset’s
. Investigating new Software and Systems make recommendations and where appropriate implement them in a timely and planned manner throughout the company, working with members of the company
As a system / network administrator you must have experience within the following:
– Degree in Information Technology or Comparable qualification emphasis in networking.
– Atleast minimum 2 years of professional experience in an operational IT role as an administrator
– Server administration such as MS Windows and Linux Flavors
– Through knowledge in system automation techniques such as scripting for efficient network maintenance tasks.
– MS SQL, MySQL database server administration
– IIS, Apache Webserver Administration
– Knowledge in managing web hosting environments based on clouds and VPS/dedicated servers
– Knowledge in cPanel/Plesk environments
– Advanced knowledge of Windows Active Directory Network environment, DNS and DHCP
– Backup and recovery strategies for database, file server and other critical servers in the network
– Use of IT Security tools and methods for IDS/IPS implementations
– Problem solving, analytical and process oriented
– Ability to communicate effectively in English
– Ability to work out of office hours when in need and work from home in urgent situations.
