Senior Purchasing Executive (Colombo 05)

BMI Holdings (Pvt) Ltd is a diversified group involved in business process outsourcing and other engineering business, since 1994.
We are looking for a result oriented, value driven team player, to join our team in Colombo, to work directly with our counterpart in Australia, a leading distributor of industrial electrical equipment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible in coordinating with all overseas Suppliers, freight agents, product managers and ensure the required stocks to be in-house as per the sales demand and update the ERP system with online data. This involves demand forecasting, plan shipments, generate POs’, update confirmed delivery dates, coordinate and update shipping files, organizing returns & rejections.
1. Degree/ diploma in supply chain Management or CILT qualifications,
2. Knowledge in International Shipping,
3. Three (3) years relevant work experience, preferably in freight forwarding or foreign Purchasing,
4. Working knowledge of Advanced MS Office software,
5. Working experience in ERP System (Pronto) & Demand forecasting tool (Demand Solutions), would be an added advantage,
6. Excellent communication skills especially in written English,
7. Ability to work independently,
8. Willingness to work on Australian working days and also Australian hours (if required),
9. Willingness to travel overseas.
