Head of IT

Key Job Objectives:

• Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future IT systems.
• Establish IT department goals, objectives and operating procedures. Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost effective investment for financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing and in house development.
• Define and communicate corporate plans, policies and standards for the company for acquiring, implementing and operating IT systems.
• Direct development and execution of enterprise- wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan and utilize strong project management skills to monitor, manage and report on IT initiatives.
• Develop, track and assist with managing the information technology annual operating and capital budgets and access and communicate risks associated with IT investments.
• Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and manage agreements to the best advantage of the company.
• Promote and oversees strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external entities, including vendors and partner organizations.
• Recruitment, development, retention and organization of IT staff in accordance with corporate strategic and budgetary objectives and personnel policies.
• Ensure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end user and monitoring of IT systems performance.
• Provide advice, counsel, education and service concerning issues and trends in the industry.
• Coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
• Transform Sarvodaya Development Finance’s application portfolio to reflect a more modern, flexible, architecture and platform allowing the company to seamlessly add new capabilities, improve the product development process and significantly grow volumes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science/BCS/ACS or equivalent from a recognize University/Institution with 10 years’ experience at least 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity preferably in financial sector with in depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to IT.
• M.Sc. in Computer Science will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in current enterprise server hardware, operating systems, development tools, security systems, data center and distributed operations with planning and managing large software development projects and in house resources.
• Knowledge on CCNA security/ MCCP, PHP & MySQL will be a distinct advantage.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills including influencing, group facilitation and persuading others. Ability to communicate in Tamil would be an added advantage.
• Age between 30 to 45 years.
