The Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka (AAT Sri Lanka), the premier accounting body producing middle level accountants, offering a wide array of opportunities to thousands of students and members island wide, wishes to recruit a dynamic individual for the above post:
Job Purpose:
Plan and conduct examinations twice a year at present in all three languages for the three levels Foundation, Intermediate and Final, covering the whole island. The current student base for one such examination is over 15,000 thousand and as head of the examination division the selected candidate is required to coordinate activities with Administration skills and should achieve all the KPIs of the division. Further he/she shall oversee the logistic arrangements before-during and after the examination and also contribute for revision of the syllabus from time to time.
Key Responsibilities:
▪ Preparation of activity schedule for the examinations with staff responsibilities and finalizing the data for examinations with approval of the Examination Committee.
▪ Develop the divisional budget with the assistance of Managers (Examination)
• Coordinate with the chief examiners and co-examiners to obtain the question papers and answers within time limits. Involving appointment of paper setters, moderators and translators with the approval of the examinations committee.
▪ Co-ordinate with senior managers/manager regarding the conduct of examinations, posting of applications, admissions and results sheets.
▪ Monitor the examination evaluation process following the holding of examinations.
▪ Finalize suggested answers for marking / evaluations. It Finalize the results and release of results of examinations with approval of Examinations Committee/Governing Council.
▪ Feedback how performance in subjects can be improved to the Examination Committee.
▪ Review examiners’ reports and communicate to relevant parties.
▪ Oversee/Carryout all administration work of the division.
Age & Qualifications:
▪ Age should be between 35-45
▪ Full qualification in Chartered Accountancy
▪ A graduate of a recognized university.
▪ Fellow/Senior Member of AAT Sri Lanka would be an added advantage.
▪ Previous experience in handling examinations in a reputed institute is definite advantage.
