Network Administrator

Reservations Gateway (Private) Ltd is the fully owned development and support center of Reservations Gateway Inc, a US based Travel Technology Company. Rezgateway develops and operates reservation and back office systems for the global travel industry.

Principal Responsibilities:

The job responsibilities would be activities related to Systems Support and Administration:

• Ensure server and network infrastructure is setup (100% configuration compliance) and monitored in an optimal manner (99.9% up-time SLA compliance)
• Ensure the IT infrastructure documentation is up-to-date.
• Ensure the SD processes are followed and update artifacts continuously.
• Ensure the junior and new staff in the IT Infrastructure division is adequately trained to perform the routine monitoring and maintenance tasks.
• To perform the 2nd Level technical support functions for the escalated issues from the Help Desk.
• Be up-to-date- with the latest developments in the IT infrastructure (OpenStack and cloud technologies, server & network monitoring, vulnerability management etc).
• Test, evaluate and systematically introduce good practices and new technologies to the IT infrastructure management.
• Maintain cordial communication with all the stakeholders with respect to carrying out the above mentioned and any other newly assigned responsibilities.

Technical Skills:

* Good understating in Systems and Network configuration troubleshooting concepts.
* 1 year solid hands on experience in Linux (RHELS / RHEL6) & Windows Server administration, installation security and troubleshooting.
* Good understanding in cloud technologies such as OpenStack and automation platforms such as Ansible.
* Good understanding in Database administration, web based technologies will be an advantage. Mainly PostgreSQL and Oracle.
* Knowledge in monitoring tools like Nagios, Scalr will be an advantage.

General Skills:

* Strong logical, problem solving thought process with ability to develop excellent troubleshooting skills.
* Be highly disciplined and ability to work independently & in harmony with the teams as well.
* Good verbal and written English communication skills
* High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to time critical deadlines and commercially minded.
* A flexible approach and an ability to adapt at short notice

Education Qualification:

* Recognized Information Technology full / part professional qualification
* RedHat / Microsoft/Cisco Certifications will be an advantage.

Hours of work

1. Normal working hours will be 9:00a.m. to 06:OOp.m., Monday- Friday and the selected candidate will be required to work extended hours on urgent requirements.
