Design, Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator (DME)-04 Positions

Locations: Padiyatalawa(Ampara), Welikanda (Polonnaruwa), Devon (Nuwara Eliya) Wennappuwa (Puttalam)

Job Profile:

The DME Coordinator will assist the Programme Manager in effective design, monitoring and evaluation of the projects in order to measure impact and share learning. The position will also conduct/ facilitate a situation analysis, develop and maintain monitoring systems for the project/ programmes, carry out monitoring visits and prepare field reports. He/She should also maintain a good relationship with internal and external partners including national office, support offices, donors, sponsors, other NGO’s, Professional agencies and Government Agencies to gain their engagement. Accurate and timely submission of all relevant reports & to be able to design and develop relevant systems in order to improve the quality of programmes.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies:

• A Degree in any relevant discipline preferably in Agriculture or related discipline
• At least 02 years’ experience in participatory assessments and monitoring, logical approach, data processing/ analysis and result based management
• Good contextual knowledge of local issues, community priorities and social and cultural constraints and realities • Analytical skills and ability to think objectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Sinhala or Tamil.
• Excellent Computer skills in MS office, SPSS, Epi info and other statistical packages
• Good Interpersonal skills and able to work in a team and be prepared to train the others
• Experience and skills using database programmes for data entry, analysis, and reporting
