IMMEDIATE VACANCY
Fern Earth Lanka (Pvt) Ltd is a new arm of Fern Earth, a fast-growing and modern thinking company
which provides natural latex bedding for international markets. Fern Earth Lanka will be undergoing
finished mattress operations and will be engaged as a manufacturing exporter in a factory located in
Siyambalape. We are searching for an active person with a strong disposition, ready to face a challenge.
Knowledge of TIEP Scheme processes and manufacturing finance experience is highly favourable.
Offered Position – Accountant
Required Criteria:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Management
– Aged under 50 years
– Excellent English communication; both written and verbal
– Able to work easily and quickly with MS Excel
– Attention to detail and organized
– Total honesty and a forward-thinking mindset
– Knowledge of Accounting Software
– Knowledge or experience in manufacturing environments would be beneficial
Job Role Activities:
– Cash flow management and manufacturing unit cost calculations (BOM)
– Computing taxes and preparing tax returns (SVAT, VAT, NBT, ESC and WHT)
– Issuing credit vouchers for SVAT purchase orders
– Liaising and negotiating with suppliers and communicating with the Inland Revenue Department
– Liaising with bank and treasury to handle transactions and assess suitable currency conversion dates
– Creating commercial invoices, packing lists and MUD forms for export orders
– Performing ad hoc management tasks such as completing EPF and ETF payments
– Reporting directly to the CEO and communicating frequently in English regarding company finances
REMUNERATION:
The remuneration package is set to be 900,000LKR – 1,200,000LKR per year based upon experience and with significant opportunity to grow with the company in the following years.
