UI Engineers / Graphic Designers
Candidates must have excellent artistic skills, good knowledge of working in software development projects and the ability to work in a team environment. ADT is seeking a U1 Engineer/ Graphic Designer with 2+ years of experience.
In addition to UI engineering, experience in UX and ability to switch between projects at short notice is desirable.
Candidate must be able to assist in any UI/UX work encountered by software developers.
Skills required for this position include:
– Excellent knowledge of XHTML, ]avaScript, HTML with the ability to create a web interface solely based on DIV‘s and CSS.
– An eye for detail (You should be able to spot even a lpx alignment issue).
– Excellent knowledge and experience in image editing and manipulation skills using Adobe packages.
– Above average knowledge in creating illustrations (drawing, logos etc.) using Adobe.
– An expert in converting a website design done in Photoshop to HTML.
– Should be able to slice, defining style classes and creating a perfect HTML version of the design by adhering to all W3C Standards (preferably without using any automated HTML conversion tools)
– Be able to address browser compatibility issues.
– Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Skills:
– Strong visual graphic design and interactive design skills with a solid understanding of web design principles.
– Ability to create flash animations with or without action script.
– Multimedia files (audio / video) editing and manipulating knowledge.
– Search engine optimization.
– Familiar with basic ASP, ASP.NET, PHP & MYSQL, setting up CMS systems, shopping cart software etc.
Knowledge of current web—design trends and techniques, a strong online portfolio displaying user—centered design are definite assets.
