accuracy and utmost care throughout Sri Lanka and the Maldives as well as to almost 200 destinations in the
world
We have an immediate vacancy for a dynamic, result oriented individual for the following post
IT Executive
Key Responsibilities:
– Ensuring smooth operation of the entire network system with minimum downtime by implementing various disaster recovery strategies and backup solutions.
– Ensuring smooth operation of the entire Telecommunication system by monitoring and reporting faults to necessary service providers.
– Administering and trouble-shooting the company email system by using the Exchange servers.
– Ensuring the domain/Internet security by implementing various group policies and firewall policies.
– Administrating and trouble-shooting the real-time courier system by coordinating with the Asian Hub in Singapore.
– Configuring and troubleshooting Power Edge Servers and Workstations.
– Ensuring smooth operation of the company applications and SQL database servers with minimum downtime.
– Analyzing the organizations information technology requirements and developing technical specifications and Making recommendations regarding the purchase of equipments.
– Confer with management, contractors and vendors to take decisions on IT related issues.
Skills and Qualifications:
– BSC/Diploma in Information Technology.
– Minimum 2 years of experience in similar capacity.
– Sound knowledge in Windows Server Operating Systems (2003/2008).
– Sound knowledge in Exchange Server (2003/2007) and SQL 2005 Database Servers.
– Be familiar with ISA 2006 Server.
– In depth knowledge in DNS, MS Active Directory, DHCP and IIS.
– MCSA/MCTS/MCITP would be an added advantage.
– Be willing to learn new technologies.
