Assistant Manager (Group Consolidation and Compliance) (Sri Lanka)

We are on the look out for a talented individual to join MAS Holdings (Pvt) Limited Group Finance team as an Assistant Manager -Group Consolidation & Compliance. This role requires facilitation of consolidated financial reporting of the group and upkeep financial reporting reliability of the Group by improving the financial reporting governance of the Group.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the Group’s multi-currency consolidation process (including extensive joint venture accounting) for both bi-annual internal management and statutory purposes in line with IFRS requirements.
• Roll-out initiatives to identify, develop, implement and improve the consolidation process using cost effective tools and autonomation.
• Review monthly Balance sheet reconciliations, including multi-currency intercompany reconciliations.
• Review financial information and analysis for both regular reporting and ad hoc requests to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Review research and analysis on various areas of accounting issues in support of special projects or requests.
• Review accounting standards developments from the various standard setting bodies and drafting communication of those developments and their impacts for the Group.
• Development of Group Audit Plan and liaising with auditor.
• Review and update Group Accounting Policies to include changes in business environment and best in class practices.
• Review and update Group Accounting Procedures to include changes in business environment and best in class practices.
• Review necessary governance inputs for group wide initiatives and provide inputs for operational, reporting and monitoring activities.
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree/ Masters (Optional) in Accounting / finance or equivalent professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, etc.)
• Minimum 5 years of combined experience in a Big Four Accounting Firm as well as in industry working for a group in a role related to IFRS consolidated reporting and preparation of Group Financial Statements.
• In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting and Auditing Standards.
• Excellent command of ERP, 51, PPM tools, Microsoft Excel, strong analytical, report writing and communication skills.
