Legal Officer
Best Life International is a specialty retailer of consumer electric, furniture, real-estate, Property development, Plantations, Local tours and pilgrim tours etc. in Sri Lanka and the neighboring countries. The company’s subsidiaries include Best life Vacation, Best life Vandana, Best Life Health, Best Life Adventure Base Camp, Best Life Great Land Development. Hence we are seeking a Legal Officer for Best Life International (Private Limited) & for its subsidiaries.
Essential requirements:
Qualification / Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
• Law qualification with ideally 4-6 years in company law and policy
• Good experience of public law including labor law
• Strong analytical skills, with an ability to grasp new and complex concepts and areas of law quickly and accurately • Intellectual ability and capable of analyzing problems rigorously and from all angles, showing sound practical judgment as well as academic ability
• The ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team engaged in complex cases; actual project and/or people management experience is desirable but not essential
• An ability to balance priorities and coordinate work effectively in order to meet deadlines and deal with high workloads, together with a willingness to be flexible
• Excellent oral and written communication skills — candidates must be approachable and constructive
• Good interpersonal and team-working skills
• Good computer skills, e.g. MS Word, Excel
• Good communication skills in English and Sinhala; Tamil is an advantage
