VOICE Area Federation is a non-profit Non-Government Organization, engaged in Child and Youth Development interventions in Puttalam District since 2007. We are seeking qualified experienced candidates for the following position:

Community Development Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Program designing and implementation – Identify divisional level priorities and involve in project designing. Prepare divisional plans based on project plans and get approval for implementation from respective Divisional Secretaries. Timely implement activities as in the divisional plans ensuring their quality and effectiveness
• Training and Development – Participate to training programs offered by donors/stakeholders and transfer knowledge to community. Organize field level training /awareness and be assured with expected community participation.
• Resource Mobilizations – Prepare resource profile documents of government and non-government organizations working in the division and share resources with VOICE annual plans. Use propaganda materials effectively in resource mobilization process.
• Representation, Networking and advocacy- Represent to relevant divisional meetings, forums and coordinating committees called by government authorities. Participate community meetings and assist community in strengthening their societies.
• Process Monitoring and Documentation- Conducts periodic visits to communities and report results to Program Manager. Prepare and submit divisional level monthly/quarterly reports to Program Officers.

Requirements:

• Diploma or an equal qualification in a related field is required
• At least three (3) years working experience in the community development field
• Ability to visit field extensively
• Age below 45 years

Note: This Position will be based in Puttalam
