SquallTec is a Software Development and IT Service Management centre, starting operations in Sri Lanka, immediately.
We are looking for a Software Engineer specializing in web applications and hosted solutions.
You will need to be a team player, with the commitment and dedication to deliver on target. You should be able to understand the business requirements and our software architecture and develop robust software to meet those needs.

Requirements:
• An IT related degree
• 2-3 years experience in programming, using PHP, Java Script, HTML, CSS Codelgniter, Zend Web Services with XML / JSON My SQL / SQL server database 3-tier architecture
• Excellent programming & troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of tools, coding standards and best practices for web based applications.
• Good communication skills (English)
Good to have:
• Experience in capturing user requirements and/or supporting users
• Experience in Java
• Related certification
The job:
Development:
• Develop server-side and front-end programs to meet requirements
• Deliver ‘good’ code which is robust and maintainable.
• Test and deliver error-free code.
• Produce specifications and documentation where required.
• Adopt and follow standards and best practices
Product Design
• Understand and focus on the overall requirements and design goals
• Contribute to the design and architecture of new features
• Contribute to the improvement and development of tools and techniques.
Support and Maintenance:
• Troubleshooting
• Maintenance
• Performance tuning
