Immediate Vacancy : Post of Factory Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a Plant Manager to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes. The position will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. The successful candidate will have the key skills to develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations
• Increase production capacity, flexibility while minimizing costs & maintaining quality standards
• Ensure all process and practices are functional, comparable to the best in the industry
• Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results

Sourcing:

• Should be able to independently identify best sources / suppliers, negotiate best prices for all raw materials requirements. Also should be able to plan procurement to ensure continuous supplies to customers and minimize inventory holding costs.
• Ensure all machines are in order, Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
• Share a trusting relationship with workgroup, recruit, manage, develop plant staff
• Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
• Address employees’ issues or grievances, Commit to plant safety procedures

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent required
• Work experience as a plant manager will be an added advantage
• Experience in printing industry with knowledge of gravure operations, slitting, punching, lamination etc.
• Adequate knowledge of budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources
• Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
• Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, inventory and stewardship processes
• Computer literacy with Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
