The UTMT opens its doors in mid December 2013 and will offer authentic, high class service within 22 rooms, a restaurant with different outlets and an Ayurvedic Spa. Job Responsibilities:
Our Housekeeping Manager has to take care of the daily activities of the Housekeeping department which mainly includes appropriate cleaning of all offices, our clubhouse, spa, seating areas, washrooms, Food & Beverage outlets and all other public spaces. He or she is also in charge of planning, organizing and directing the Housekeeping team, purchasing, re-ordering and maintaining housekeeping supplies and inventory and to conduct inspection of all related areas. The main responsibility is to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and conduct and to ensure the proper maintenance of all related equipment. He or she is scheduling and training all housekeeping staff members and is recruiting new staff members in accordance with the Hotel Manager. He or she is also responsible to maintain positive and good team spirit in within the Housekeeping Department and other relevant areas.
Job Requirements:
• Work experience in the field for at least three years.
• Excellent management skills and cleaning product knowledge.
• Knowledge of local suppliers in Sri Lanka is a plus.
• Good English and Sinhala language skills are a must.
• Creativity, people management, resource management, organizational capabilities and technical knowledge are of utmost importance.
• Patient trainer and an excellent motivator.
