Head of Finance (Colombo)

Duties & Responsibilities:
– Monitor and prepare monthly financial statements/reports, cash flows, daily liquidity position
and manage funds & expenses to minimize the finance cost to the Company
– To actively participate in the preparation of the annual budgets, comparison of actual
performance against the budget, identifying and analyzing variance and devise and monitor the
implementation of necessary actions to manage / improve variances.
– Responsible in reviewing/implementing financial policies and procedures to meet the level of
business of the Company in accordance with Sri Lanka Accounting Standards
– Accountable for the development and implementation of an effective financial accounting
function in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards
– Ensure proper business governance and business compliance; maintain a close retationship with
Central Bank of Sri Lanka on statutory requirements and reporting.
– Liaising with financial institutions, auditor, department of Inland Revenue and other external
institutions
– Reviewing tax returns and other statutory legal documents in ensuring compliance with
internal/external financial and accounting policies & procedures.
Required Competencies
– Be a member or Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, CA, ACCA,
CIMA and CMA
– Possess at least 15 years of relevant experience with minimum of 5 years in a senior managerial
capacity in a Financial / Non-Financial Banking Sector is a prerequisite.
– A degree in Accounting or Finance and an MBA in Finance / General Management
– Age preferably above 40 years
