Who We Are We are a multi-national company in the tourism industry providing travel services in Sri Lanka and other Southeast Asia destinations.
Job Description:
The Operations manager is responsible for managing and developing the supplier data base in Sri Lanka and expanding to other Asian destinations. Our suppliers are travel agents, hotels, transport companies and activity providers. You will also work closely with sales consultants and customer care specialists to handle all bookings of packages.
Reporting to: Managing Director
Responsibilities:
• Build and manage a supplier data base in Sri Lanka and expand to other Asian destinations.
• Manage suppliers: supplier training, quality control and pricing/contract negotiations
• To manage quotations and booking requests from other team members (hotels, transport, activities, special services) • To closely monitor Suppliers in order to make sure that they provide error free services to guests
• Supplier selection, supplier visits and validations
• Staff management
Requirement:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Sinhalese
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the tourism industry
• Experience in handling ground operations (transport, hotels)
• Management experience
• Highest integrity
• Computer & internet savvy
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
Preference:
• Knowledge in ticketing
• Other language fluency
