An Australian Hotel Management Group is venturing into Sri Lanka for the launch of a Star Class Hotel GSH Colombo managed by Acostay Hotel Group of Australia, in 2013 located in the business district of Colombo.
Hotel Manager
Responsibilities:
– Promoting and marketing the hotel and its facilities as well driving occupancy and room rates revenue.
– Control all aspects of finance including sales, stock control, wages and control cost including dealing with contractors and suppliers.
– Undertake and maintain effective staff training and development. ensuring standards are adhered to.
– Be involved in budget planning and regular reports deadlines.
Qualifications and Experience:
– Graduate of a recognized hotel school specializing in Front Office and House Keeping Operations.
– Sound business and operational skills acquired from previous experience in hotel management roles.
– Expertise in Rooms Division with a minimum of 5 years experience in a reputed 4-5 star hotel.
– Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
– Familiar with the requirements of a licensed venue. in particular compliance and legislative issues.
– Have the ability to work in a fully computerized environment with comprehensive knowledge in marketing and internet based applications.
