Finance Manager — Colombo Based
The Finance Manager will lead a team of finance staff and accountants in our branch network who will fall under his/her direct reporting line, to manage day-to-day tasks and maintain finance controls. He/she will also be a part of the management team and will report to the CFO and will be responsible for maintenance of accurate financial statements and reporting; to the Board/VisionFund regional and international offices.
Other main responsibilities of the role include:
– Preparation of the annual budgets of the organization
– Preparation of financial accounts
– Providing adhoc reports for management decision-making
– Continuous monitoring and evaluation of financial procedures
– Coordinating the ALCO meeting and cash flow management
– Training of new recruits on finance areas
– Preparation and submission of reports required by the management, donors, WV support offices, Partnership Office, Central Bank etc.
Requisites for the post:
– ICA/CIMA/ACCA qualification and a degree in the field of finance would be desirable
– At least 3 years’ managerial experience in accounting/financial management in banking/a financial institution / auditing
– Ability to work under pressure and manage staff
– Good working knowledge of computer and good in both written and spoken English
– Be able to demonstrate a high level of ethical commitment and trustworthiness
