Database Administrator Wanted (Sri Lanka)

As a Database Administrator at Aeturnum, you will be responsible for administering database solutions for our clients while maintaining the performance, integrity and security.
Skills Required:
– Experience in installing and maintaining databases for Production, Staging and Test environments
– Providing expert assistance in database tuning and troubleshooting to improve database performance
– Thorough knowledge on Database Security
– Experience in working closely with project management, developers and client representatives in a highly
competitive environment. to implement effective solutions for our clients
– Experience in Oracle (1lg, log, 9i) and MySQL database administration (Installation and Configuration)
– Experience in installation and configuration of Oracle Database clustering (for failover and load balancing)
Experience and knowledge on Solaris, Linux (RedHat, Centos) and Windows operating systems
is mandatory
Optional Skills: (an added advantage if the candidate has these)
– Knowledge on Data Warehouse ETL (OWB/Pentaho/Informatica )
– MySQL Redundancy (Master/Slave, Master/Master configurations)
– Oracle ATG Production Configuration
– Amazon AWS RDS
Education and Experience required
– Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Software Engineering or any other related degree
– Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in administration of Oracle database solutions in Production environment
– Oracle Certifications (OCA. OCP) will be an added advantage
– Good communication skills, both written and verbal
– Linux certification will be an added advantage
