Objective:

This position holds responsibilities to manage data analysis for Device Management services as it relates to mobile wireless devices in the Sri Lanka market.

Summary:

– The Data Analyst supports the Device Management team across IMEI Tracking, Device Ranging and Product Lifecycle Management services.
– Newly created role for a new client contract. The Device Management Team will be operating in an environment of substantial change, both within Brightstar and on the client side.

Key Responsibilities:

– Work with the Data Analyst to manage the Product Lifecycle database and carry out systematic and ad hoc analysis on mobile device performance to support the Channel Optimisation, Marketing Intelligence and Device Category Managers
– Create and produce regular analytical reports, tables and graphical analyses of performance data
– Responds to Ad Hoc data requests from the Client and is involved with ongoing projects to develop and enhance Brightstar’s suite of automated reporting tools.
– Data mine to identify customer and product performance factors that can be leveraged to improve overall portfolio profitability.
– Work collaboratively with database engineers/administrators to improve the data warehouse structures, processes and data quality
– Be the business expert on the IMEI Tracking and Product Lifecycle Management database and the data sources that it derives from
– Assist the Device Management Category Managers in preparing handset ranging business cases and in assessing the financial impact of proposed actions
– Gain client exposure and assist the team by maintaining and following up meeting minutes during key client meeting cycles
– Assisting in the development of Powerpoint Presentations
– Completing general marketing administration tasks
– Maintaining the product database
– Generally supporting the rest of the team to meet the overall team objectives

Requirements:

Education:-

– Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or business related discipline

Experience:-

– Minimum 2-4 years in business analysis or data mining roles

Competencies:-

– Flexibility, able to deal with challenges, willingness to learn.
– Proven experience handling data and interpreting complex trends
– Excel (pivots, macros). Experience with MS SQL looked upon favourably.
– Previous exposure within a Marketing environment
– Fluent in English
