Our client is a well-established apparel manufacturing group of company located in Colombo looking for suitable candidate for following position:
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for formulate policies, business strategies and provide overall direction of the organization. Plan, direct, and coordinate operational activities at the highest level of management with the help of subordinate managers and holds accountability and has the responsibility of creating the organization’s strategy.
Skills Required:
• Strong leadership skills to lead all operational teams effectively and efficiently
• Analytical and creative problem solving skills
• Strong business judgment and a balanced mix of effective communication, and negotiation.
• Ability to work under pressure and think clearly in challenging situations in a logical manner.
• Effective time management skills for timely delivery of required results.
• Very good organization skills for effective management of various functions to achieve organizational goals
Qualifications:
• Degree in Business/Engineering or other relevant field from a reputed University.
Experience:
• Possess a minimum 10 years of work experience in apparel Sector or related field, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior managerial capacity
• Experience in overseeing budgeting, accounting, payables, auditing, payroll, receivables, cash flow, benefit management and investing functions
AND
• Experience in developing, implementing and planning company programs considering budgetary concerns and manufacturing scheduling
