Following vacancy is existing in the state of the art apparel manufacturing unit managed by Nor Lanka located in Kelaniya.
Stores In Charge
Job Summary:
– To supervise overall operations in the warehouse, ensure that all processes such as receipts, storage, issuance, re-shipment, documentation, etc are carried out in a timely and effective manner, and meets production requirements.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
• Coordinating and follow up with relevant departments on all issues pertaining to the delivery of scheduled materials to ensure that they are in housed as scheduled and informing the respective departments on the receipts of items.
• Coordinating with relevant departments on discrepancies in material receipt to resolve such issues.
• Monitoring stock levels and ensuring that required stock levels are maintained to facilitate internal requirements.
• Ensuring that periodic stock takings are carried out to ensure the accuracy of stocks level.
• Supervising all processes in the raw material stores such as receipts, storages, issuance and reconciliations.
Personal Specification:
• GCE Ad, Qualified.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the same capacity in the apparel industry.
• Diploma or any other related course in recognized institute in supply and materials management will be an added qualification
• Should be a self-starter who can work with minimum supervision.
• Computer literacy specially in Microsoft office packages.
