Lead Technical Assistant
A vacancy exists for a Lead Technical Assistant with a market competitive package and incentives that outstrip the market norm such as a guaranteed bonus of three months with tax borne by the company, a worldclass training & development plan and foreign training.
Responsibilities:
– Play an important role in providing technical support to build the reliability based lubricant platform for
customers, and help strengthen Chevron’s lubricant expert position in Sri Lanka
– Assist and implement initiatives by Lead Technical Manager in maintaining product stewardship
– Work with Chevron technical experts, to handle customer queries on correct applications and product performance
– Conduct workshops, seminars, lube surveys in consultation with field sales staff
– Carryout inspections with regard to customer complaints on product quality & integrity
– Coordination and full implementation of in-service oil monitoring
– Visit customers with field sales staff to assist sales efforts
– Respond to customer inquiries – 1st contact for customer queries
Requirements:
– Preferred candidate should be below 35 years
– Should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (chemistry major preferred) or Chemical Engineering or Physics
– Minimum 5 years of experience in the chemical industry
– Good knowledge of formulations – composition, applications and product performance
– Should possess strong analytical skills with the ability to combine technical/process knowledge with
business understanding to be able to articulate simple, practical solutions for technical queries/issues
within standards
