Post of Environmental / Safety & Fire Officer
THE ROLE
The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for providing advice, guidance support & Demonstrations to top & middle managers and factory employees on all matters affecting health and safety within their area of responsibility and ensure that working practices adopted by the business comply with Health and Safety legislation and best practice. The role holder will monitor all safety activity to ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements and Health and Safety legislation to keep all factory employee and others safe at all times.
Qualifications:
1. The ideal candidate should have a sound knowledge of Environmental Procedures, health & safety regulations & fire safety procedures pertaining to the factory ordinance. 05 years’ experience in the relevant field with an age limit of 40 years.
2. Experience in a relevant Health and Safety role in multi-site work environment
3. Experience of carrying out accident investigations, inspections, and audits and risk assessments.
4. Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and best practice.
5. Ability to communicate at levels both within the business and with external suppliers/regulatory bodies.
6. Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to communicate to all levels.
7. Ability to work independently and on own initiative.
