Solutions Architect
Reservations Gateway (Pvt) Ltd is the fully owned development and support centre of Reservations Gateway Inc, a US based Travel Technology Company (www.rezgateway.com). Rezgateway develops and operates reservation and back office systems for the global travel industry.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Solutions Architect to be responsible for the overall design of the application with the business requirements to systems/technical requirements.
Overall Responsibilities:
• Ensure process flow analysis and process redesign is aligned with the engineering design and completes a detailed functional design to match client requirements.
• Propose and complete the configuration workbook, technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements.
• Provide current best practices and 3rd Party solution alternatives as part of the functional design document, Lead the UAT efforts, be part of training design, documentation and delivery efforts.
• Participate and lead, when needed, the project meetings with the client.
• Define in detail the technical design of the system and review the architecture and code whilst providing recommendations for design and implementation.
• Work with the Review Lead in taking ownership of components to evaluate.
• interact with various stakeholders of the solution and develop a deep understanding of the current system.
• Ensure the timely delivery of the artifacts.
• Participate in the Proof Of Concept (POC) activities.
• Work with infrastructure SMEs to develop and understanding of the underlying infrastructure.
• Provide thought leadership, strategy and lead innovation by exploring, investigating, recommending, benchmarking and implementing data centric technologies for the platform.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree with major in computer science.
• 6+ years of experience with J2EE technologies including Struts / Spring / Hibernate / Seivlets, with the complete SDLC of J2EE web-based client-server systems in Agile Development practices (specially SCRUM and XP) and experience towards architecture and implementing Linux or UNIX software solutions is required.
• Familiar with and able to follow the industry-standards for SOA design pattems, SOA coding practices and familiarity with the latest developments in IT systems.
• Experienced in designing, developing, testing, and integrating web services into a large SOA applications, in Web Service development with REST architectural styles using XML and JSON. I Excellent in both verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about open source technologies and community-based development.
• Strong working knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems, preferably in Red Hat platform products including Boss, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and other related technologies, JEE deployments in cloud/ data centers and working experience In Legacy system modernizing would be an added advantage.
