Senior Support Engineer (Sri Lanka)

Responsibilities:
Provide technical/operational support for world renowned software applications
Monitor and perform standard checks to ensure system stability
Analyze issues and provide solutions based on standard operating procedures
Coordinate multiple teams to provide solutions and work-arounds for issues
Escalate issues within agreed timeline and track all reported issues to closure
Generate ad-hoc reports from multiple databases based on requirement
Perform capacity planning and forecasting
Ideal candidate should have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar field
Knowledge of Relational Database Structures
Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL and ability to write queries
Knowledge of Windows and Linux/Unix-like operating systems
Basic knowledge of scripting
Understanding of concepts of telecommunications BSS/OSS and call-flow
Hands-on operational experience (minimum 3 years) in at least one area: Provisioning/Mediation/Rating/Billing/Roaming/Interconnection
Ability to work on shift basis including weekends/holidays covering 45 hours per week
