Senior ICT Engineer – Service Operations

Intrepid opened its Sri Lankan Service Centre in January 2013 to deliver shared services to the group.

About the Role:

As a Senior ICT Engineer in our Information Communication Technology team, you will be part of the supportive 24×7 team environment which serves organizational requirements. The role will require you to be responsible for implementing technical solutions and providing ICT support, management and maintenance duties for the company’s internal systems and administration tasks by participating in technical team discussions and documentation outcomes.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Take the ownership of
• level support globally and escalate to the next level support.
• Complete configuration, installation and support of Microsoft operating system and services such as AD, DNS, DHCP, RDP, IIS, WSUS and group policy administration.
• Microsoft Server 2008/2012, PowerShell, Group Policy, Hyper-V and virtualization concept.
• Office 365 administration.
• Maintaining software applications, operating systems and regular windows server maintenance tasks
• Provide escalation support for end-user trouble calls.
• Document and cross-train team members in areas of strong expertise.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer systems or Networking from a recognized University.
• 3-4 Years of experience in supporting role in windows server environment.
• Microsoft certifications (MCP/MCSA/MCTS)
• Hands on experience in o365 administrations.
• Excellent working knowledge of software deployment, remote desktop and service desk system.
• Experience in working in 24×7 operation will be an added advantage.
• Expertise in installing, configuring, and managing multiple LAN/WAN network technologies.
• Strong customer service orientation.

• Ability to provide IT support remotely to staff in a variety of locations.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to work with users from all levels of the organization with all degrees of technology literacy.
• Excellent customer service focus and skills both on the phone and in person.
• Problem Solving – Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and permanent solutions.
• Ability to work under pressure and be on call support when required.
